Additionally Private Enterprise GAAP is an option for private companies that do not wish to adopt IFRS. Although not as onerous as IFRS there are a number of differences between Private Enterprise GAAP and Canadian GAAP for private companies to consider.

There are many issues as your enterprise transitions from Canadian GAAP to one of the alternative standards. An effective starting point is a conversion plan which serves to highlight unique requirements. This forms the basis of the transition or implementation phase of adopting IFRS or Private Enterprise. Glenidan Consultancy has assisted a number of companies with the transition from Canadian GAAP in a variety of industries. We have also presented IFRS courses across Canada on behalf of the following organizations: The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, Acumen Information Services, Federated Press Inc. and Infonex Finance.
